Digital communication opens up opportunities

Digital communication boosts efficiency, cuts costs and can contribute towards a clean environment. We’ve taken our first few steps in the right direction and there’s still quite a bit more to come. A brief summary.

Digital solutions are important and the right path to pursue as they open up new possibilities. Not only have they radically changed our day-to-day lives, the way we communicate and wide areas of our market environment, they’re also developing their potential in terms of sustainability. Digital solutions open up opportunities for us to achieve greater transparency, greater efficiency and fewer emissions.

Hapimag is right in the middle of all these fascinating change processes. And we’re just getting started. We recently revamped the first few key digital channels, starting with our website and the Booking Portal. The new Points Platform has been online since July and we’ll be offering further digital solutions to ensure that Hapimag is fit for the future. This is always with the goal of ensuring that your service, booking and holiday experiences are the best they can be.

Paper is expensive and consumes resources
Today, much of our communication with shareholders and members already takes place through digital channels. More and more people are taking advantage of the option of having information sent to them via newsletter and we already reach 65% of the community this way. Traffic on our new “MyHapimag” Booking Portal is on the rise as well, with around 25,000 visits currently being recorded each week compared to around 8,200 per week in early March.

The advantages offered by this kind of communication are obvious: we can communicate with you more quickly, more directly and provide you with more comprehensive information. Please sign up for our newsletter if you haven’t done so already. Go to the Booking Portal at to change your settings. You’ll receive important information about Hapimag and, if you like, information about offers and promotions.

I would also like to take this opportunity to point out the advantages of the electronic Booking Information. The Booking Information is the document used most frequently by our shareholders and members, with total annual costs in the six-figure range. We’d like to convince as many members as possible to use the Booking Information document electronically.

I recommend downloading our electronic Booking Information from the Booking Portal at Simply go to the table of contents and click on a section to go straight to the page you need. If you have any questions, our employees will be happy to help. You can reach us by phone on 00800 3030 8080 (alternatively +41 58 33 70 10) or via e-mail at [email protected]

Welcome mails are one of the advantages offered by electronic communication. Automatic welcome mails contain all the important information about a trip and stay at a Hapimag resort, and ensure that our shareholders and members are always extremely well prepared.

ePost benefits everyone
As we informed you by letter or e-mail in September, we will be switching from traditional post to ePost on 1 October. ePost helps protect the environment since less paper is used. At the same time, Hapimag also cuts its costs for printing and postage, which ultimately benefits our community by guaranteeing stable annual subscription charges. If we succeed in convincing the majority of our shareholders and members to switch to ePost, we could make savings of up to CHF 200,000 per year.

Nearly 50% are currently using ePost and we want this number to grow. These shareholders and members receive their documents online, meaning that confirmations of bookings, invoices, Booking Information, etc. are sent electronically to them via “MyHapimag”,where they can be accessed immediately through an electronic mailbox.

Nevertheless, we’re aware of the fact that not all shareholders and members want to use ePost and still prefer receiving materials by post. We will therefore continue to offer a traditional postal service. Our goal, however, is to convert as many shareholders and members as possible, and we will work hard on developing additional solutions to convince them of the benefits of digital communication.

What do you think? Do you have any suggestions or feedback as to what other digital solutions could benefit Hapimag? Help us out – for greater sustainability, mindfulness and mutual respect in our society. Every company should in principle make a contribution to this objective. Only then we will leave a better world for future generations.

I look forward to your contributions on the topic.
Yours sincerely
